Living in Bloom | The Places We Return To ... July 29, 2026 - Bloomfields

Dear BFF,

Some places never really leave us.

A quiet forest on the West Coast. The rocky shoreline of a northern lake. Early mornings at our family farm. A winding trail through the woods.

We find ourselves returning to these places again and again - not simply because they're beautiful, but because they remind us how to see.

The curve of a weathered branch. Moss on stone. The texture of bark. The soft palette of lichen, sand, water, and sky.

Nature has always been our greatest source of inspiration. It's there that we discover the shapes, colours, and textures that quietly find their way into Bloomfields. A sculptural vessel that echoes a river stone. Handcrafted ceramics with the warmth of weathered earth. Linen, wood, woven fibres, and glass that catches the light, much like water does.

Our homes tell the stories of the places that move us.
The objects we choose become gentle reminders of those landscapes - bringing a little of the forest, the shoreline, or the garden indoors.

Living in Bloom has always been about more than flowers. It's about surrounding ourselves with beauty that feels honest, natural, and deeply connected to the world outside our windows.

Nature Notes

Three small ways to bring a little of the outdoors home this week.

• Bring something living inside.
A fern, a flowering stem, a branch gathered on a walk - sometimes a single living element is all a room needs.

• Choose natural textures.
Stone, linen, wood, clay, or woven fibres invite the quiet beauty of the outdoors into everyday life.

• Slow the evening down.
Light a candle, open the windows, and let the last moments of daylight become part of your home.

Living in Bloom

Every object in this collection was chosen for the same reasons we return to forests, shorelines, and gardens. They slow us down. They invite us to notice texture, light, scent, and the quiet beauty of everyday living.

We hope you'll enjoy this collection of places that continue to inspire me - and perhaps they'll remind you of somewhere you love, too.

Wishing you a wonderful long weekend, with time to slow down, step outside, and return to your places.

Both shops will be closed on Sunday and Monday for the Civic Holiday weekend, reopening Tuesday.
With love, Virginia & Jamie
