Living in Bloom | The Outdoor Room... August 4, 2026 - Bloomfields

Dear BFF

By now, summer has settled in.

The windows have been open for weeks. Morning coffee has found its way outdoors. Evenings linger a little longer around the table, and flowers move easily between the garden and the home.

Summer reminds us that some of the most beautiful rooms don't have four walls.
I love this way of living.

Whether it’s a garden, cottage porch, cabin in the woods, or quiet corner of the backyard, these spaces invite us to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and reconnect with the beauty around us.

To me, this is the outdoor room- not defined by walls, but by light, fresh air, and the simple rituals of summer.
A basket for gathering flowers. A lantern waiting for dusk. A favourite linen draped across a chair. A handcrafted vessel holding stems gathered just moments before.

At Bloomfields, many of the pieces we choose are inspired by this way of living- natural textures, timeless materials, and objects that feel equally at home indoors and out.

Living in Bloom is about embracing the season as it unfolds and creating spaces that invite us to linger a little longer.

I hope you're finding moments to do just that.

A FEW SUMMER RITUALS

The Outdoor Room
Create a room without walls—a place to linger, gather, and enjoy the season.

Morning
Take your coffee outdoors.
Bring a favourite chair, a good book, and let the day begin a little slower.

Afternoon
Gather a few stems from the garden.
Arrange them in a simple vessel and let nature become part of your home.

Evening
Set the table.
Light the fire.
Pour a drink.
Stay outside long after the sun has disappeared.
Sometimes the most memorable summer days require nothing more.

PIECES FOR OUTDOOR LIVING
Everything in this collection was chosen to support a slower kind of summer—from handcrafted vessels and linen towels to favourite chairs, fire bowls, and objects designed to blur the line between indoors and out.

Until next time, may you find beauty in the everyday.
With love, Virginia
